Of course, these numbers are only as up to date as they are at the time of publication. Some games will soar, others will tank.

Regardless, it serves as a good check of the pulse around the conference, and a way to see how WVU stacks up in terms of demand.
A quick reminder on the ground rules;
- Prices as of 10 a.m. Thursday, September 17

Here we go.
Where the Mountaineers stand
WVU hits the road for the first time this season when it takes the field for the Duke’s Mayo Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, the Mountaineers will face off against No. 25 Virginia.
It is a game with higher demand compared the majority of the Big 12 slate, and sits as the most expensive of WVU’s three games thus far.
Prices start at $92 for the neutral-site contest, getting you the cheapest seat in the home of the Carolina Panthers. The get-in cost is nearly triple of WVU’s last outing when it hosted UT Martin ($34).
The Mountaineers’ three-game average sits at $62.67.
Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, airing on the ACC Network and ESPN+. Tune in to 100.9 FM The Torch or any of its affiliate stations from 5:30 p.m. until game time to check out The Mountaineer Tailgate pregame show, hosted by Mitch Rogers.
Friday night lights
The best game across the Big 12 this week is scheduled for Friday.
No. 22 Houston heads northwest across the Lone Star State to face No. 13 Texas Tech in an exciting matchup. Despite the hype and ramifications surrounding the contest, it is not the most expensive ticket on the slate.
You can snag a ticket for the primetime game at Galaxy Stadium for $80, slightly higher than TTU’s home opener in Week 1 ($68). The disparity is not as wide as one may think, considering Week 1 was a game against Abilene Christian.
- No. 22 Houston @ No. 13 Texas Tech: $80 – Galaxy Stadium (8 p.m. on FOX) | Lubbock, Texas
It should be a fun one.
Saturday slate
There are 12 other games featuring Big 12 teams, not counting WVU, on Saturday. One of the 12 is a conference showdown, while the other eleven are still part of early-season non-conference play. Two of those 12 are being played on neutral grounds, including one out of the country. Of the 10 non-neutral games of the bunch, Big 12 teams are hosting eight.
- Kansas State vs. Tulane: $41 – Bill Snyder Family Stadium (12 p.m. on ESPN2) | Manhattan, Kansas
- Iowa State vs. Bowling Green: $18 – Jack Trice Stadium (12 p.m. on ESPNU) | Ames, Iowa
- Arizona State vs. Kansas: $57 – Wembley Stadium (12 p.m. on FS1) | London, England
- No. 17 Utah vs. Utah State: $56 – Rice-Eccles Stadium (3:30 p.m. on FOX) | Salt Lake City, Utah
- Cincinnati vs. Miami (OH): $50 – TQL Stadium (3:30 p.m. on ESPN+) | Cincinnati, Ohio
- Baylor vs. Louisiana Tech: $17 – McLane Stadium (4 p.m. on ESPNU) | Waco, Texas
- UCF vs. Georgia State: $35 – Acrisure Bounce House (7 p.m. on ESPN+) | Orlando, Florida
- Oklahoma State vs. Murray State: $67 – Boone Pickens Stadium (7 p.m. on ESPN+) | Stillwater, Oklahoma
- No. 11 BYU @ Colorado State: $51 – Canvas Stadium (7:30 p.m. on CBS) | Fort Collins, Colorado
- Colorado @ Northwestern: $125 – Martin Stadium (7:30 p.m. on FOX) | Evanston, Illinois
- TCU vs. Arkansas State: $25 – Amon G. Carter Stadium (8 p.m. on ESPNU) | Fort Worth, Texas
- Arizona vs. Northern Illinois: $17 – Casino Del Sol Stadium (10:30 p.m. on TNT) | Tucson, Arizona
The average get-in price across Saturday’s schedule (not counting WVU) is $46.58 (+$1.96 from Week 2).
Mountaineer money
WVU’s primetime showdown with UVA clocks in as the second-most expensive game across the Big 12. Last week, the Mountaineers were the sixth-cheapest.
Clearly, this is the first truly intriguing matchup on WVU’s schedule, and is placed on a neutral site within six hours of both schools. It helps they are also both 2-0 with plenty of buzz surrounding the respective programs.
As you can presume, these numbers will not only vary in the days leading up to kickoff, but also on a week-to-week basis.
