The Mountaineers beat the Kansas State Wildcats 10-3 on Saturday evening. They tied a school record for most wins in a season as they secured their 40th victory of the season. They tied the 2003 and 1994 teams and can pass them with one more victory. WVU got it done on both sides as they cruised to an impressive victory after last night. Kansas State scored the first run of the game quickly with two outs in the first inning after drawing a walk. They singled to score a run. The Mountaineers quickly bounce back in the second with two of their own as Jace Rineheart scored on a fielder’s choice and Chase Swain scored on a wild pitch. Chase Meyer got in trouble in the bottom of the inning after allowing a double, a walk, and a single to give up a run to make it 3-2.
