Timeline Of WVU’s Roster Moves Since Gold-Blue Showcase
Just two days after the showcase, the Mountaineers removed running backs LJ Turner and Traevon Dunbar from the official roster.
On April 9th, Safety Nasai Bell announced his intention to enter the transfer portal. Redshirt freshman cornerback Keyon Washington also entered the transfer portal. The next day, cornerbacks Jacolby Spells and Mikey Preston both entered the transfer portal.
On April 11th, the Mountaineers would lose another player as redshirt sophomore cornerback Jordan Jackson entered the transfer portal.
Running back Judah Price would announce on April 14th that he was also entering the transfer portal.
On April 15th, the Mountaineers would remove linebacker Rickey Williams from their official roster, as was tight end Jack Sammarco. Defensive line signee Even Powell would announce that he would instead be heading to East Carolina. Tight end Noah Braham and offensive lineman Gavin Crawford would officially enter the transfer portal.

Quarterback Abe Fenwick would officially enter the transfer portal on April 16th.
On April 17th, North Alabama offensive tackle Mickel Clay committed to WVU, Clay has only one year of eligibility remaining.
On April 19th, Appalachian State cornerback Nick Taylor committed to WVU, Taylor has three years of eligibility remaining. Northern Illinois tight end Grayson Barnes committed to West Virginia with one year of eligibility remaining.
On April 20th, Missouri edge rusher Eddie Kelly Jr. committed to West Virginia with two years of eligibility remaining. UNC wide receiver Christian Hamilton commits to WVU with three years of eligibility remaining.
Tight end Noah Braham would be put back on the roster on April 21st.
On April 23rd, Southern Illinois linebacker Ben Bogle would transfer to West Virginia with two years eligibility remaining.
Oklahoma offensive lineman Josh Aisosa signs with West Virginia on April 24th with four years eligibility remaining.
On April 25th, offensive lineman Will Reed, a Princeton grad transfer that had committed to WVU was supposed to arrive in Morgantown in May was released from his paperwork and will not be joining the team.
On April 26th, Coastal Carolina kicker Kade Hensley committed to West Virginia. Hensley made 34 of 44 field goals attempts for the Chants, he has just one year of eligibility remaining.
WvU received commitments from wide receiver Justin Smith-Brown and offensive lineman Malik Agbo on April 27th.
WVU signed two more transfer commitments on April 28th with the signings of SMU running back Jaylen Knighton and Jacksonville State wide receiver Jordan McCants.
On April 30th, the Mountaineers had quite an active day, adding Mississippi State offensive lineman transfer Carson Lee, who chose the West Virginia over UCLA, Lee has one year of eligibility remaining. The Mountaineers would continue the day by adding three more players to their roster. West Virginia would add linebacker John Lewis, defensive back Darrian Lewis, and JUCO defensive back Kaleb Gray. John Lewis and Darrian Lewis both only have one year of eligibility remaining, while Gray has three years of eligibility remaining.
