WVU Golf wrapped up round two of the NCAA Marana Regional on Tuesday by jumping from tenth place to eighth place with an even par overall score. Read more: WVU Golf climbs the ranks in day two of NCAA Marana Regional
After finishing +6 as a team during round one, the Mountaineers improved drastically with a Round 2 score of -6.
Day two Mountaineer scores
Senior Kaleb Wilson and freshman Jack Michael led the way during round two for the Mountaineers, both scoring -3. Both improved significantly from round one, with Wilson scoring +2 and Michael +3.

Senior Westy McCabe also finished under par today with a -1 score. He leads the Mountaineers overall with a -4 score through rounds one and two.
Sophomore Nicholas Turowski scored +1 during round two, while sophomore Ryan Leach scored +3. Turowski still holds an under-par overall score of -1.
Updated look at where WVU stands
WVU Golf’s even par score now puts them in eighth place on the leaderboard. The teams they passed to jump to eighth were Tarleton State and St. Mary’s.
McCabe remains the highest placed Mountaineer on the player leaderboard at -4, currently tied for 17th. He has shot a total of seven birdies with only three bogeys.
Turowski is tied for 27th with a -1 score. He has shot one eagle and six birdies.
Wilson’s total score is +2, placing him tied for 39th. After only shooting one birdie during round one, he shot four birdies and an eagle in round two.
Michael is tied for 48th with a score of +3. He leads the team in birdies with 10.
Leach has a total score of +9 and is tied for 69th. He scored no birdies in round one, but had four in round two.
Updated look at the rest of the field
Arizona is now the sole team in first place after round two with a -35 score overall. Oklahoma State was tied for first with them after round one at -11, but now sits second at -25 overall.
Arkansas State also climbed one spot with an overall score of -21 and sits in third place. They passed LSU who now sits at fourth with a -18 overall score.
Duke and Alabama had no change remaining at fifth and sixth, respectively. Clemson jumped from eighth to seventh.
