The neutral-site slate includes the Greenbrier Tip-Off and the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas.
“We’re excited about the opportunities this schedule presents and the growth it can create for our team,” head coach Mark Kellogg said in a news release.
“Every season brings a new journey, and this group will be challenged from the very beginning with quality opponents both at home and away from Morgantown. Our goal is to continue building throughout the non-conference season, so we’re prepared for the demands of Big 12 play. We cannot wait to get back in front of our fans and compete in an incredible environment at the Coliseum.”
Opening at home
The reigning Big 12 Tournament champions open the season against two Atlantic 10 opponents, hosting Rhode Island on November 3 before welcoming George Washington on November 5.
Both schools are former Atlantic 10 rivals. West Virginia competed in the conference from 1976 until joining the Big East in 1995.
First road test
On November 8, WVU travels to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech, completing a home-and-home series with the Yellow Jackets.
