WVU took down Cal Poly, 17- in Game 2 of the 2026 Morgantown Super Regional on Saturday, sweeping the best-of-three weekend. The Mustangs were outmatched in nearly every facet of the game, and it showed.
A seven-run second inning blew the game open in favor of WVU. Back-to-back homers from Ben Lumsden and Tyrus Hall carried the load in the offensive outburst of a frame.
At least two runs per inning from the third until the sixth padded the offensive insurance, too.
