The Opa Locka, Florida, native chose the Mountaineers over premier schools like Oregon and Florida State, among others.
Prince ready for the switch
The 5’10, 175-pound running back prospect has stated he is excited to make the switch from the Sunshine State to the Mountain State.
Prince had this to stay on his Instagram after he made his commitment official.
“After thoughtful discussions with my family, I’m blessed to announce that I have officially committed to West Virginia University! I want to sincerely thank head Coach Rich Rodriguez, Travis Trickett, Jay Boulware, and Noel Devine and the team for the genuine hospitality and for believing in me. Your support and vision made this decision clear. From Carol City to the mountains… I’m ready to WORK, ready to stand on business, and ready to represent at the highest level. Mountaineer Nation… the lion is on the way! Let’s get it!!,” Prince wrote on Instagram.
Multi-sport athlete
Prince played his junior season for Chaminade-Madonna in Hollywood, Florida last year where he totaled 765 yards and nine touchdowns on just 63 carries. His breakout year came while also splitting carries throughout the whole season.

With lightning quick speed and acceleration, Prince has the potential to be a true difference maker for the Mountaineers. Not only out of the backfield, but the incoming high school senior could become a true threat as a kick/punt returner when he steps foot on WVU’s campus in 2027.
Aside from excelling on the football field, Prince is also a standout track athlete in the state of Florida. Last year he posted a personal best 10.57 in the 100-meter, putting him in the top-five across 4A schools in the state.
Rodriguez continues to bolster
Rodriguez managed to put together a consensus top-25 recruiting class for 2026. Many outlets have the class ranked in the top-3 of the Big 12 as well.
The West Virginia native has always put a strong emphasis on high school recruiting. The recent addition of Prince for the 2027 class is a strong indication of that.
Once he puts on some more size and muscle, Prince has the intangibles and natural ability to be a true difference maker for West Virginia’s backfield in the years to come.
