Outside of baseball, three other teams competed this week. WVU Rowing traveled to Raleigh, NC, and competed in the Lake Wheeler Invitational. WVU Track & Field went north to Philadelphia, PA, for the Penn Relays. The final team started today, Monday, April 27. WVU Golf is playing 36 holes today, 18 on Tuesday, and the final 18 on Wednesday, as they compete in the Big 12 Championship. Penn Relays
WVU only had one athlete compete at the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 27. Chiara Judis competed in the 10,000 meters in Philadelphia, PA. She finished eighth overall with a time of 34:04.91.

The Mountaineers only have two more events before the Big 12 Outdoor Championship. They travel to Charlottesville, VA, for the Virginia High Performance. The two-day event takes place on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2. The WVU Last Chance event takes place on Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m.
Lake Wheeler Invitational
WVU Rowing competed at the Lake Wheeler Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25. The event, held in Raleigh, North Carolina, was a two-day affair. The first event for West Virginia was 3V8 Heat 2. The 3V8 posted a time of 7:39.150, coming in fifth out of lane two.
In the 2V4 Heat 1, WVU finished seventh with a time of 7:46.940. WVU finished sixth in 2V4 Heat 2, with a time of 7:43.820. In the V4 Heat 2, the Mountaineers posted a time of 7:47.300, which was good enough for fifth place.
The next event for the Mountaineers was the 2V8 Heat 2. They finished in seventh with a time of 7:15.590. In the V8 Heat 2, WVU finished sixth place with a time of 6:57.980. That was the last of the round one heats.
In WVU’s first heat of round two, they finished sixth in the 3V8, with a time of 7:41.700. They finished the 2V4 Heat 1 in fifth, posting a time of 8:01.050. WVU also took fifth in the 2V4 Heat 3, with a time of 7:56.270.
Continuing in round two, WVU finished sixth in the V4 Heat 3, with a time of 7:47.750. In the 2V8 Heat 3, they placed seventh with a time of 7.11.890. Wrapping up the first day, they finished seventh in the V8 Heat 3 with a time of 6:54.270.
Day two
The final round of each event occurred on the second day. WVU placed fifth in the 3V8, with a time of 7:25.540. The Mountaineers had two teams compete in Heat 3 of the 2V4. They placed fifth and sixth, posting times of 7:46.650 and 7:50.280, respectively. WVU finished the V4 Heat 3 in 7:40.090, which was good enough for fifth.
West Virginia placed seventh in the 2V8 Heat 3, with a time of 7:07.880. WVU placed sixth in the final event of the Lake Wheeler Invitational. They finished V8 Heat 3 in 6:51.330.
The next event for WVU Rowing is on Saturday, May 2, in Pittsburgh, PA. The Duquesne Invitational is held at Washington’s Landing and is the final event before the Big 12 Championship.
