What to expect
There was only one game since the last radio show. The Mountaineers played the Ohio State Buckeyes at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. WVU lost the game 88-89 in double overtime. Their largest lead was 16 points, but they could not stop the Buckeyes in the paint. Ohio State finished the game with 52 points in the paint, while WVU only had 20. Turnovers were a problem for WVU, as they had 17 to Ohio State’s 12.

Brenen Lorient led the Mountaineers with 44 minutes, while Chance Moore had 41 off the bench. Jasper Floyd and Honor Huff had 40 and 39, respectively. Moore is getting a lot of minutes off the bench, especially against tougher competition. Treysen Eaglestaff and Harlan Obioha had the fewest minutes among starters, logging 23 and 25. Jackson Fields also had 26 minutes off the bench.
Hodge’s rotations seem to change with every matchup, as he can mix and match with a lot of capable players. He can go big underneath with Obioha, or have big guards in the game with Floyd and Moore. Huff, Floyd, and Lorient are the constants in any rotation. Hodge should discuss his rotations and how he plans to utilize players once conference play starts. He has a lot of unique players with different games and body types, which gives him a lot of flexibility.
