WVU is 15-9 and 6-5 in the Big 12 this season, which places them right in the middle of the pack in the conference. They have played through the gauntlet in the Big 12, and their best win is against Kansas, which is now ranked in the top 10. The Mountaineers are on the outside looking in at the NCAA tournament, but are not far off. Joe Lunardi of ESPN has them as the tenth team removed from the tournament. Head coach Ross Hodge and hosts Tony Caridi and Brad Howe are sure to discuss this, among other topics, live from Kegler’s. What to expect
The Mountaineers have a big game against UCF on Saturday. According to Joe Lunardi, UCF is currently in the tournament but on the bubble. The Mountaineers can increase their chances of making the tournament with a road victory over the Knights. WVU plays Utah, TCU, Oklahoma State, BYU, Kansas State, and UCF to finish the regular season. The most important games over that stretch are road games at TCU and Oklahoma State, and home games against No. 22 BYU and UCF.

Honor Huff must play better down the stretch. He is WVU’s leading scorer, but disappears at times. He shot 0% from the field on eight attempts against Texas Tech, finishing with six points. Huff made one of 13 field goals against Baylor and finished with five points. WVU lost both games by 10 points or fewer.
Brenen Lorient had a stellar game against Texas Tech. He finished with 21 points, five rebounds, one assist, one block, and three steals. He can be the difference maker down the stretch, especially if Huff scores more. Two options on offense are what the Mountaineers need, while others fill in the gaps. Chance Moore has provided a spark off the bench lately, and his athleticism changes the dynamic of the team. Treysen Eaglestaff has stayed quiet over his last three games, but he can provide an offensive spark. He has also made some tough shots in important moments this season.
WVU has a shot to make it in the tournament, but it has to put it all together down the stretch. Coach Hodge will detail how he plans to accomplish that at the Ross Hodge Radio Show, live from Kegler’s!
