WV Sports Nation launched earlier this year, covering all things WVU Athletics. For the first time, however, a staff member will report live from a game outside of Morgantown.
Coverage preview
Live coverage of Saturday’s contest can be found on X (FKA Twitter) @_wvsportsnation. The postgame recap will be uploaded following the conclusion of the game on wvsportsnation.com
In-game radio coverage, as always, is available on 100.9 FM The Torch and its nine affiliate stations. Longtime Mountaineer broadcaster Tony Caridi will have the call across the airwaves of the JFMN and MSN.
The game
WVU (7-2) and Wake Forest (6-3) meet for the first time since 2005, a game that the Mountaineers won in double overtime, 111-105. The March Madness game, like Saturday’s game in Charleston, was a neutral-site affair.

The Mountaineers lead the all-time series, 7-3. This is not the first matchup between the two teams in the Capital, either. WVU won a tight one in Charleston, 111-109, in the 1961-62 season.
