Korn in 2025

Korn dominated at Seton Hill during his 2025 season. He recorded an 11-2 record with an ERA of 1.81 and 84.1 innings pitched. Korn throws a two-seam fastball that sits anywhere from 90-93 mph, a cutter, a curve, and a changeup. The right-handed pitcher can mix up any combination of his pitches, showing an ability to paint the corners of the strike zone for punchouts. Korn struck out 83 batters and allowed only 17 walks during his junior season in 2025.

Honors and Awards

Korn earned First-Team All-American honors from the NCBWA, ABCA, and D2CCA. He’s the first Seton Hill pitcher since Nick Sell (2015) to be named First Team All-American from the NCBWA and he’s also the first player in program history to win a national player of the year from NCBWA.

The honors don’t stop there. Korn also earned NCBWA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year, D2CCA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year, and PSAC West Pitcher of the Year. He received a First-Team All-PSAC West Selection, and a spot on the PSAC Spring Top 10, which recognizes student athletes who excel both on the field and off.

Korn took a major leap in production during his junior season, as he stepped into the starting rotation. During his sophomore season, he appeared mostly out of the bullpen, recording a 3-1 record in nine appearances. That year, he pitched 15.2 innings, recording two saves and 12 strikeouts, and held opponents to a .237 batting average. The major step up from 15.2 innings pitched his sophomore season to 84.1 innings pitched last year represents an important development in his game and approach. Korn will almost surely compete for a role in West Virginia’s starting rotation next season.
